Strong Truck Rental and Leasing Market Driving Strong Turnout at NationaLease 67th Annual Meeting

San Francisco is the setting for the 67th Annual Meeting on Sept. 18-19 of NationaLease, one of the largest full service truck leasing organizations in North America.

September 6, 2011, Downers Grove, IL – A strong rental market and robust contract maintenance and full service leasing activity are driving high registration levels for the NationaLease 67th Annual Meeting, Sept. 18-19 in San Francisco.

“When the commercial truck rental market is strong, it’s nearly always a valid economic indicator that the economy is on the upswing. High rental rates lead to increased interest in full-service truck leasing,” noted Gene Scoggins, President, NationaLease, one of the largest full-service truck leasing organizations in North America. “We think that’s what’s behind the substantial turnout we’re expecting at our Annual Meeting.”

The gathering of leaders of 165 independently owned full service truck leasing companies, as well as industry experts, and representatives of the largest providers of transportation products and services in the world, takes place at the InterContinental Mark Hopkins San Francisco.

Keynote speaker at the event is technology entrepreneur Scott Klososky, former CEO of three very successful startup companies. He has served as consultant to Fortune 500 companies such as Cisco, Newell Rubbermaid, Lockheed Martin and eBay. Also addressing the group is Bob Costello, Chief Economist and Vice President for the American Trucking Associations. A favorite with the national business media, Costello will give an up-to-date outlook on economic issues facing the trucking industry.

Other topics to be covered at the Annual Meeting include a remarketing outlook, a report on CNG and LNG fueled vehicles, and the top trucking issues of the day.

The agenda also comprises an industry panel and breakout sessions on the topics of driver recruitment and the future of the NationaLease organization. A trade and technology show is part of every NationaLease Annual Meeting.
