The Future of Leasing in Canada
Kirk Tilley joins us to discuss where he believes the Canadian full service leasing market is headed. He will discuss current maintenance cost downloading by the OEM as it relates to emissions requirements, tougher warranty rules, and reduced policy adjustments, and what kind of pressure that is putting on the lessor. Kirk will then examine the constant pressure to increase technology requirements to provide real time data and KPIs to the lessee. He will also share “what keeps him up at night” as it relates to the industry.

This session will answer many of your questions about Air Disc brakes, from both the manufacturer and the user perpective. Stephane Godbout will share Location Brossard’s experience with Air disc brakes over the last 3 years, including their decision making process, their technician training challenges, and our results.  Fabrizio will discuss the new brake distance regulation ,the difference between disc and drum brakes, and their OE presence.

The key points recorded during the supplier round table discussion will be presented to the NationaLease membership. All suppliers are invited to an open discussion with NationaLease supply management centered on supplier interaction with the membership. General topics will include: member accessibility, communication channels, sales opportunities, product promotions, suggested Industry speakers or event functions, and the specific challenges and opportunities in the Canadian market.

Idea Session
During this time, members will present an idea, utilize an existing tool or one created in their own shop, share a best practice that has improved productivity, cut cost, saved time, or improved moral. Each member throws a set contribution into the kitty. The members then vote on the top three winning ideas. Votes are tallied and the contribution is divvied up according to the number of participants. It's a great opportunity to not only share and hear innovative ideas, but also the chance to win some cash!
