Andy grew up in Emerson, N.J., the son of Greek immigrant parents, where he spent his youth involved in sports. In high school, he was an All-American in track and field. He earned a college football scholarship to Stanford University where he started all 4-years. He received his undergraduate degree in economics and master’s in sociology. Soon after graduation, Andy discovered NASCAR. He has worked with pit crews since 1992 at Hendrick Motorsports, as Director of Human Performance. Hendrick Motorsports is NASCAR’s modern-day dynasty, fielding teams for NASCAR greats, Jeff Gordon, Jimmie Johnson and Dale Earnhardt, Jr. as well as current drivers, Alex Bowman, William Byron and Chase Elliot. He has the distinction of being NASCAR’s first ever, “pit crew coach.” From 2006 to 2012, he was elected as Executive Director of the North Carolina Motorsports Association, which represents North Carolina’s six-billion-dollar motorsports industry. He currently sits on the Board of Directors. Andy speaks and conducts teambuilding events which teach the athletic mindset, what he calls, “over the wall thinking.”
