Managing Technician Shortage
Melanie Scheet will discuss the current technician shortage and strategies to recruit and hire qualified technicians. She will cover how employers partner with UTI, including UTI’s newest initiative called Early Employment. The Early Employment Program is designed to respond to the acute shortage of technicians in the transportation industry while providing UTI students with an opportunity to work with key employers willing to invest in supporting students’ short and long-term goals.
