Wayne Scott
Senior Director, Transport Maintenance, Loblaw Group of Companies
Wayne acts as the Senior Director of Transport Maintenance for Loblaw Companies Ltd. Loblaw is Canada’s largest retailer, providing grocery, pharmacy, health and beauty, apparel, general merchandise, and financial services. With nearly 2,500 corporate, franchised, and associate-owned locations, Loblaw, its franchisees, and associate-owners employ approximately 200,000 full- and part-time employees, making it one of Canada's largest private sector employers.
Wayne joined Loblaw in 2007 after spending 20 years at Freightliner and 5 years at Challenger Motor Freight. At Loblaw, he is responsible for all aspects of transport equipment, including approximately 5,700 pieces of equipment across North America, from spec’ing and ordering new equipment, to end-of-life disposal of trucks, trailers, rail containers, etc. In addition to managing the Loblaw fleet, his responsibilities include overseeing the transport EGS reporting and initiatives.
As an avid sports fan, Wayne continues to watch his kids play sports and enjoys spending time with friends and family.
