Frank Abagnale

Frank W. Abagnale is one of the world's most respected authorities on forgery, embezzlement and secure documents. For over 40 years he has worked with, advised and consulted with hundreds of financial institutions, corporations and government agencies around the world. Mr. Abagnale's rare blend of knowledge and expertise began more than 45 years ago when he was known as one of the world's most famous confidence men. This was depicted most graphically in his best-selling book, Catch Me If You Can, a film of which was also made, directed by Steven Spielberg with Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Hanks. A Broadway musical of the same title was also created and in April 2011 opened on Broadway and won a Tony Award. Apprehended by the French police when he was 21 years old, he served time in the French, Swedish and U. S. prison systems. After five years he was released on the condition that he would help the federal government, without remuneration, by teaching and assisting federal law enforcement agencies.

Mr. Abagnale has now been associated with the FBI for over four decades. More than 14,000 financial institutions, corporations and law enforcement agencies use his fraud prevention programs. In 1998 he was selected as a distinguished member of "Pinnacle 400" by CNN Financial News - a select group of 400 people chosen on the basis of great accomplishment and success in their fields. In 2004 Mr. Abagnale was selected as the spokesperson for the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) and the National Cyber Security Alliance (NCSA). He has also written numerous articles and books including The Art of the Steal, The Real U Guide to Identity Theft and Stealing Your Life.

Jim Meil is Principal and Industry Analyst for ACT Research, the leading publisher of commercial vehicle (CV) industry data, market analysis and forecasting services for the North American market. Meil previously was Vice President and Chief Economist with Eaton, a position he held since 1996. He recently retired from Eaton after a 29 year career with the company, serving in various roles in planning, treasury, and economics functions. Prior to joining Eaton, Meil had held consulting and management positions with Chase Econometrics and with Burroughs Corporation.

Jim is a contributor to Blue Chip Economic Indicators, Consensus Economics, USA Today, Philadelphia Fed Reserve, and Wall Street Journal outlook surveys. Paul Rizzo is Senior Vice President Fleet Management and Transportation Services for Reyes Holdings, a $26B distributor of food and beverages. The holding company is comprised of:

  • Reyes Beverage Group, the largest beer distributor in the United States. The company carries over 1200 SKUs and distributes nearly 100 million cases of beer to over 32,000 retailers each year.

  • Martin-Brower, the largest McDonald’s distributor in the world

  • Reinhart Foodservice, the 4th largest broadline foodservice distributor in the United States

  • Great Lakes Coca-Cola, distribution territories in Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, and Michigan.

Paul has over 30 years of diverse experience in a number of functions and industries. He has worked in automotive manufacturing, software, food and beverage manufacturing and distribution. In the latter part of his career, he has concentrated mainly on supply chain and operations management. He joined Reyes Holdings in January of 2007. He has lead centralized shared services teams that operate in a matrix organization functionally supporting the Reyes Holdings family of companies. Currently, he manages a team tasked with asset stewardship, safety and compliance, and training. Reyes Holdings has a domestic fleet of over 20,000 assets, including over the road equipment and material handling. A major current initiative is the start up of Reyes Academy, which will be the main driver and transportation professional school for the domestic enterprise.

Prior to joining Reyes Beverage Group, Paul spent 16 years in the PepsiCo system in roles ranging from sales management to logistics. He was VP of Distribution and Purchasing for McCain Foods, worked for a short while in supply chain software sales, and began his career as a financial analyst at General Motors in Ypsilanti, Michigan.

Paul graduated from The University of Notre Dame with a BBA in 1975, and an MBA in 1979.
