Generations in the Workplace
How people in different generations have seen purpose inside and outside work can cause issues in relationships with others. Some generations live to work and some work to live. There are people who have a more narrow focus in achieving their purpose in life and those that have a global vision. Taking a different, therefore wrong approach erodes relationships and creates a divide. Shifting to the not wrong, just different mindset seeks to build relationships. When anyone uses the term “they” as a reference to a generational group of people, there is division and difference. When the term “we” is used, there is hope and possibilities. Erlain will explore the generational experiences to understand the circumstances that have influenced career and service decisions.
