Modern cyber attacks affect everyone, from individuals subjected to identity theft and financial loss, to ransomware attacks that cripple businesses, to strikes against critical infrastructure. Unlike historical computer viruses, typically associated with malicious hackers and with limited real impact other than destruction of data, modern versions are carefully crafted and monetized. Modern attackers mean business and in fact are in business, with some hacking groups making millions of dollars per month. This talk discusses how these attacks are orchestrated and challenges in preventing and responding to cyber attacks. There will be ample time for questions and questions are welcomed!
