Employee Wellness Programs How Aim Transportation Solutions Uses Technology to Improve the Health of Employees
Traditional disease management programs have failed. With too much focus on effort and not enough on results, costs continue to rise with up to 80% of medical plan spend coming from members with a chronic health condition like diabetes and heart disease. The good news is that there are new ways of approaching chronic conditions to drive down costs. This session will breakdown what these new approaches are, how to improve employee engagement with their health, and how you can estimate the savings to your plan. We'll take a deep dive into industry and case study data for AIM Transportation Solutions to show how you can use chronic care management programs spend significantly less per member each year on medical claims.

In this session, Foley & Lardner LLP partner Christopher Ward will not only cover the key developments from the last year and offer practical guidance on how to navigate their challenges in the transportation industry, but also outline what new developments are on the horizon and what employers can do now to prepare for them.

Employee Retention Retention is Cheaper than Hiring
What can we do better once we have hired an employee? It would be great to only hire for new work rather than just keep replacing employees who leave our companies. We'll look at the difference between good turnover and bad turnover so don't let the percentage of turnover concern you until it needs to concern you. What are some of the positive steps we have taken that have made a difference. Should we do 100 things or would 5 things be more beneficial for our employees? Make a plan, implement the plan, follow up with the results and tweek when necessary. If you think this is a human resource problem, you right, but we can't do it alone and we don't want to drag you along kicking and screaming. If we have to do that, we go back to rule 1 which is there is good turnover and bad turnover.
